The upholstery in dial and wristband, which is based on the striking red color of its plane, creates together with the case and calfskin strap in deep black an exciting combination. As model in the development served the classical instrument look of a cockpit composed mostly of round instruments with black background and bright hands.
The clearly designed dial with the marker arrow at 12 o'clock as well as the characteristic pilot´s crown attaches unmistakably to the appearance of the historical pilot's watches. The hands and indices are designed with white Super-LumiNova® mass and remind in their shape of propeller blades. The reduction to hour, minute and small second at 6 o'clock additionally supports the excellent readability.
In addition to the imposing look, the clock impresses with numerous highlights regarding of material and processing technology: the 45-millimeter stainless steel case has an extremely masculine and striking appearance due to its size alone. Thanks to its PVD coating, it is also characterized by great robustness. Inside works the manual wind movement Alpha CHW 302, which can be admired through the large sapphire crystal back. The dial of the Pilot RED is covered with red artificial silk. Similar material was used in the early 20th century as coating for airplanes and airships. This artificial silk feels wonderfully soft.
